Multi/Interdisciplinary — Behind-the-scenes
Doors Open Fredericton
Get an insider’s view of the behind-the-scene workings of a professional performing arts centre! During this special tour, you’ll learn what that big white box on top of the Playhouse is; you’ll see where famous artists like Leonard Cohen, Buffy Ste. Marie and Bruce Coburn hang out; and you’ll learn more about the building’s history and present-day operations.
Offered as part of Culture Days, these 90-minute tours run from 1-4 p.m., and include front of house, backstage, catwalks and an on-stage technical demonstration of lighting and sound. Plus, you’ll be treated to a special performance! Photography allowed. Children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/chaperone. Please note that some areas of the tour are not wheelchair accessible, however we are offering a special accessible tour starting at 2 p.m.
