Ballet Workshop and Demonstration with L'Arabesque Ballet

Ballet Workshop and Demonstration with L'Arabesque Ballet

Markham, Ontario

Visual Arts, Dance — Hands-On Activity

All are invited to join us for a ballet demonstration and workshop led by L'Arabesque Ballet. Try some simple basic barre exercises and stretches, basic ballet positions and steps such as gallops, skips and valses. Children will have the opportunity to learn a short ballet variation with music. The program is inspired by "In Position", the Varley Art Gallery's current exhibition featuring a new body of work by artist Brendan Fernandes, exploring identity through dance and choreography. L'Arabesque Ballet offers a professional approach to ballet training in a fun and creative atmosphere. It follows the Royal Academy of Dance syllabi and is taught by former principal dancer Laëtitia Clement.
